What you are paying for
Not the map — you are on that either way. A free profile's five public events sit exactly where a paid profile's fiftieth does. Somebody opens the map to see what is on tonight, has never heard of you, and finds you. That is the whole point of the thing and it is not for sale.
You are paying to keep doing it. Five public events is enough to find out whether the map brings anyone in. A weekly quiz uses them up in five weeks — a plan is the fifty-second week.
And you can check it rather than take our word for it. Your profile shows how many of its views came from the map, as opposed to from people you had already told.
Just sharing with friends
You do not need a profile or a plan to organise something and send people a link.

Do I need a profile?
Only for public events, and setting one up is free.
Every pin on the map should lead back to someone who is responsible for it, so public events belong to a profile. If you're just sharing something with friends by link, you don't need one.
What happens if I stop paying?
If you switch back to the free plan, nothing is deleted. You keep your profile and your followers.
Any public events over the free allowance become drafts. You can put them back up with one click.
How do I cancel?
In the billing portal, with one click. You don't need to email us.
